Hello! 👋 I am Ubeyde Emir Özdemir

I have been interested in coding since my young ages and I am currently studying software engineering at Üsküdar University. I'm the average JavaScript enjoyer, currently learning React, moving forward to specialize on the frontend.

So, who am I really?

Cares about coding, troubleshooting complex problems, and helping projects complete on time; However, I am someone who is trying to improve myself while studying software engineering. While I strive to deliver something especially on the frontend side, I am trying to expand its scope to full-stack over time. For this very reason, I follow the web development world closely and strive to adapt to it.

What are your hobbies?

How did you start your software development adventure?

Even in my preschool days, I was interested in electronic devices. After going to primary school and getting a computer (laptop) at home, I became especially interested in computers. In a short time, my interest shifted from hardware to software. During my primary school days, I was playing computer games on the weekends while studying during the week, these were usually platform games. But I wasn't content with just playing, I was also scribbling the possible levels of a platform game in my mind in a notebook that had nothing to do with school lessons (Of course, at that time I had no idea how to code my dream game). Sometimes, I would take things even further and make a truly playable version of the Ludo game by changing the rules a little more with my A4s and my handicraft knowledge.

When I was in secondary school, I discovered that I could make games with the GameMaker application, sometimes by using drag-drop and sometimes by writing code, and I created a maze, a platform game and a shooting game (orbit). During this period, I frequently benefited from YouTube tutorials. I did not understand most of the codes I wrote, but thanks to what I did, I learned the if-else logic, logical operators (such as AND: &&, OR: ||) and variables for the first time.

During my high school years, I mostly focused on making websites and mobile applications. On the mobile side, I was trying to make very simple Android applications with Android Studio and Java. On the website side, I created my own blog with WordPress. In this blog, I was sharing the games I made during middle school and some Android application suggestions. Apart from this, I received web design and graphic design training (2016~2017) in a software-related course I attended. After a long time, I received MCSD training. The course focused mostly on C# and SQL, and although I currently prefer using JavaScript and NoSQL, it gave me a strong foundation in the software world.

Nowadays, I am someone who is trying to improve myself while studying software engineering. While I strive to deliver something especially on the frontend side, I am trying to expand its scope to full-stack over time. For this very reason, I follow the web development world closely and strive to adapt to it.

Do you use social media?

Rarely. If I do, it's usually Twitter, Instagram, Reddit or LinkedIn. My username is @ubeydeozdmr on most platforms you can think of, but I still just want to highlight these two: Twitter & LinkedIn. Also you can check my GitHub profile or send email to me
